5 Foods To Heal Your Acne

More and more people are realizing that diet is very much linked to the issues with our skin, such as acne.

It’s so important to be regularly eating healthy, non-inflammatory foods if we want our skin to be clear and healthy!

I’ve listed down below 5 foods that will help you achieve the skin of your dreams!

Pumpkin

What a perfect food to talk about in this fall season! I don’t know about you, but I have fallen in love with this delicious, skin healing food!

Pumpkin is loaded with a ton of vitamin C (a powerful antioxidant), and is rich in vitamin A, which is one of the best vitamins for fighting acne!

It helps to improve the tone and elasticity of your skin by promoting collagen production.

Pumpkin contains B vitamins such as riboflavin, B6, niacin, and folate:

Niacin and folate-both help to improve circulation, helps to heal acne, and improves cell turnover rate.

Riboflavin– helps to prevent dry skin and acne breakouts by maintaining the skins mucus secretion.

Vitamin B6– helps to produce and repair skin cells.

It contains L-tryptophan- which is an amino acid that greatly helps to reduce stress (crucial to keep our hormones balanced!)

Any type of orange, natural food contains beta carotene, which improves skin texture and helps to heal UV damage.

For healthy and clear skin, it’s recommend to eat no more than 3 times per week, and to buy wild caught salmon.

We all know that any kind of dark leafy vegetable has health benefits. But when it comes to healthy skin, one of the best is kale!

It helps to balance your omega 3 & omega 6 intake with a 1•1 ratio, which is very important for clear skin.

Since I’ve been struggling with acne, I’ve been trying to incorporate each of these foods in my diet more regularly!

It feels good to know that I’m filling my body and feeding my skin with all of these amazing benefits!
